A Community's Fight to Preserve its Historical and Rural Culture in Virginia: Biotechnology CEO Gets Involved

BOSTON, March 10 Judith K. Gwathmey VMD, Ph.D., FACC, FAHAhas served as Chief Executive and Chief Scientific Officer of Gwathmey, Inc.for twelve years. Dr. Gwathmey recently embarked on a campaign with other members of thequiet rural community in Aylett, Virginia to preserve the town's ruralcharacter and natural resources (wetlands, wildlife, and water).

Dr. Gwathmey is working with others to raise awareness about the adverseeffects the motocross raceway will cause. Dr. Gwathmey, who is on faculty atHarvard University and Boston University Medical School, is a celebratedcardiac scientist.
