"It is important to talk about prostate cancer. Early detection with PSA testing can catch the disease in its early stages when it is most curable," said Dr. Michael Duff, radiation oncologist at Cancer Care of Western New York.

Nationwide, a man dies from prostate cancer every 18 minutes. Through the race, doctors at Cancer Care of Western New York, Western New York Urology Associates and Main Urology Associates hope to educate local men about the importance early detection plays in the successful diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
Race proceeds benefit ZERO - The Project to End Prostate Cancer, a leading national organization dedicated to research, education and promoting early detection. Among other benefits, proceeds will help fund screenings in underserved communities.
September is National Prostate Care Awareness Month. "The Dash for Dad is a perfect way to get out and help fight prostate cancer," said Dan Loncto, race director. "Lace up your sneakers and take a run in beautiful Delaware Park."
