FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 3 Almost 3,000 riders turned out to the Homestead-Miami Speedway for the start of the 2010 Zimmerman MS Bike Ride. The event, which runs from Miami to Key Largo, raised nearly $2 million in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Title sponsor Zimmerman Advertising's team, zMotion, led the fundraising efforts with more than $300,000 raised.

The 2010 Zimmerman MS Bike Ride took place on Saturday, April 17, 2010. This was the biggest and most successful year yet for an event that seems to be growing exponentially.

"The Zimmerman MS Bike Ride is a great event that is doing phenomenal things in terms of fundraising for MS research," says Pat Patregnani, agency President and founder of Team zMotion. The South Florida Chapter of the MS Society and other event sponsors provided a "recovery village" at John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo where riders enjoyed music, food and drinks at the conclusion of the ride. Many riders chose to enjoy the evening in Key Largo and make the trip back north the next morning. zMotion hosted a pool party and BBQ for their 400+ riders at a local hotel.
"We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the 2010 Zimmerman MS Bike Ride a success," adds Cathy McCarthy, Development Director for the MS Society. "This event would not have been possible without the help and support of our cyclists, sponsors, volunteers and donors."
