Medical Word - Beta cell transplantation
Ans : Surgically placing the beta (islet) cells from the pancreas of one person into the pancreas of another. Beta cells make the insulin that the body needs to use glucose for energy. Although transplanting beta cells may one day help people with diabetes, it is still in the research stage.
