room and have a light meal.
  • For the Clinical skill examination (STEP 2:CS),the students would have to go through a series of patient encounters and are expected to make an note of each patient in a computer situated outside each of the examination rooms.
  • Examinee instructions will be posted on each of the examination room doors.
  • On entering the examination room, the candidate can begin with history taking and physical examination.
  • Candidates are expected
to communicate with the standardized patients, as if it were a real patient, the candidates are also required to discuss the diagnosis they are considering with the patient.
  • For those candidates who are unsuccessful at the first attempt of STEP 2 CS, a repeat examination is required. It is possible for candidates to encounter similar cases that they had in their previous examination, however it is always best to approach each encounter as a new case as not always will case unfold exactly the same way.
