Selective physical examination:

Abdominal examination
Rebound tenderness is suggestive of peritonitis.
Cervix
Purulent discharge –
suggestive of Pelvic inflammatory disease
Cervical motion tenderness –
Ectopic Pregnancy
Dilated with or without tissue protruding
Abortion
Uterus
Enlarged, irregular
Fibroid
Uniformly enlarged and tender around menses
Adenomyosis
Retroverted and fixed with tenderness
Endometriosis
Adnexal mass
Twisterd ovarian mass

Post menopausal women:



Tenderness - abdomen with purulent discharge –
PYOMETRA secondary to senile endometritis, Carcinoma endometrium, carcinoma cervix.

Associated with mass abdomen –
ovarian neoplasm, benign or malignant, FIBROID.

Investigations:
Urine pregnancy test
Urinalysis
Ultrasound
Laparoscopy

is both diagnostic and therapeutic. Laparotomy is indicated when the degree of pathology makes surgical treatment by laparoscopy unsafe or technically difficult.

Counseling is also mandatory in addition to the above lines of management.

Abdonimal pain was treated with OFLOXACIN AND ORNIDAZOLE tablets with improvement.When CAPSULES of PREBIOTIC were used along with the first drug, the condition of the patient became worse.The second drug was then avoided and the patient improved regularly.
