The National Board of Examination is an autonomous organization established by the Govt.of India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with a primary objective of conducting post-graduate and post-doctoral examinations of high and uniform standard in the discipline of modern medicine, at an all India basis for the award of Diploma of National Board (DNB). The emphasis is on evaluating professional ability and practical application of sound theoretical knowledge in the practice of the specialty a candidate is certified in.
