Fever, allergic reaction, low blood pressure.

• Breast-feeding is not recommended while taking defibrotide injection as it has the possibility of causing serious side effects to the baby.

Defibrotide Injection generic Defibrotide injection is an antithrombotic agent that is used for the treatment of hepatic veno occlusive disease (VOD) where the blood vessels inside the liver is blocked. This condition is also known as the Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome. The drug is used specifically in those patients who have kidney or lung problems following a hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Defibrotide injection mainly acts by preventing the formation of blood clots.
