How to Take Tirofiban Hcl and it's Dose


It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV- Non-ST-segment elevation MI; Unstable angina- Loading dose: 0.4 mcg/kg/min for 30 mins, then 0.1 mcg/kg/min for ≥24-48 hours.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with active internal bleeding, stroke, brain tumor, aneurysm, trauma, high blood pressure, and hypersensitivity.

This medication is a platelet aggregation inhibitor, prescribed for the management of patients with unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, including patients who may subsequently undergo percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) with other medications.
