How to Take Suxamethonium Chloride and it's Dose


It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or large muscle.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV- The recommended dose is 0.3-1.1 mg/kg as a single dose; then 50-100% of the initial dose may be given at 5-10 min intervals. Max: 500 mg/hr.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with genetic disorders, personal or family history of malignant hyperthermia, and hypersensitivity.
