How to Take Rivaroxaban and it's Dose


It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

For patients with atrial fibrillation or recent surgery: Take Rivaroxaban 1 time a day with evening meal.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Rivaroxaban should not be used in patients with: • Active bleeding
• Allergy to Rivaroxaban or any of the ingredients

What if you Miss a Dose of Rivaroxaban?

Stopping Rivaxoraban may increase your risk of having a stroke or forming blood clots in other parts of your body. In case of missing a dose, take the tablet immediately as soon as you remember.

• Rivaroxaban is indicated for reducing the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation
• It is used for preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery.
