How to Take Rifampin and it's Dose

It comes as a capsule to take by mouth, on an empty stomach.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: PO- The recommended dosage is 10 mg/kg/day or 2-3 times/week. Max: 600 mg/day.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with severe liver impairment, jaundice, and hypersensitivity.

Drug Name : Rifampin

This medication is a rifamycin antibiotic, prescribed for tuberculosis (TB).
