How to Take Metaraminol and it's Dose

It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein, muscle or under the skin.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult- IM/SC- The recommended dose is 2 to 10 mg (0.2 to 1mL).
IV- The recommended dose is 15 to 100 mg.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Concomitant use of cyclopropane or halothane anesthesia should be avoided.

This medication is a potent sympathomimetic amine, prescribed for acute hypotensive state occurring with spinal anesthesia.
