How to Take Droperidol and it's Dose

It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: IV/IM- Max initial dose: 2.5 mg; additional doses of 1.25 mg may be given if needed.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with known or suspected QT prolongation, bone marrow suppression, coma and hypersensitivity.

This medication is a tranquilizer (dopamine receptor antagonism), prescribed for nausea and vomiting.
