How to Take Docetaxel and it's Dose


It comes as a liquid to be given intravenously (into a vein) by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic. It is usually given over 1 hour once every 3 weeks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

IV- The recommended dose is 100mg/m2 over 1 hour infusion, repeat it for 3 weeks.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with previous severe hypersensitivity reaction to this drug, the solvent or polysorbate 80, severe decrease in white blood cells, pregnancy, severe liver impairment.

This medication is an anti-cancer agent, mainly used for the treatment of breast, ovarian, gastric cancer, head and neck cancer, prostate cancer and non-small cell lung cancer either alone or with other medications.
