How to Take Dequalinium and it's Dose


• The lozenges should be sucked slowly.
• The vaginal tablets are inserted deep into the vagina just before going to bed at night.
• The tablets should not be used while the patient is bleeding during menstruation.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

• The recommended dose of dequalinium is 0.25 mg one lozenge every 2 to 3 hours as needed, up to a maximum of eight in a day.
• The oral paint can be applied to the affected part every 2 to 3 hours with a brush or a cotton swab.
• The vaginal tablets are used as 10 mg, one tablet inserted deep into the vagina daily for 6 days.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

• Dequalinium should not be used in patients allergic to ammonium compounds or to the drug itself.
• It should also not be used in children.
• The vaginal tablet should not be used in the presence of ulceration of the vagina or the cervix. It should not be used by pregnant women within 12 hours before the birth of the baby.
• It should also not be used in girls before their first period.
