It comes as a tablet and a sustained-release or extended-release (long-acting) tablet to take by mouth, without meals.

Oral- Smoking cessation- Adult: Modified-release preparation: Initially, 150 mg once daily for 6 days then increased to 150 mg twice a day. Period of treatment: 7-12 wk. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)
