How to Take Benzocaine and it's Dose


It comes as a gel, lotion to apply topically.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

Adult: Topical analgesia and anesthesia- As gel, paste, cream, lotion, spray, solution or suppository up to 20%: Apply as directed by your physician.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity, complete heart block, low plasma-cholinesterase concentrations, pyrogenic infection at or near the skin. Injection into or application to inflamed, infected tissues, damaged skin mucosa or on perforated tympanic membrane.

Drug Name : Benzocaine

This medication is a local anesthetic used to treat painful conditions such as mouth ulcers, sore throat, before inserting instruments into the rectum or vagina for examination.
