It comes as a topical applicant, apply as directed by your physician.

Adult: As 20% cream or 15% gel: Apply thin film twice daily.

Why it is prescribed (Indications)
This medication is a naturally occurring saturated dicarboxylic acid, used for skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.
Category B :
Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.
Warnings and Precautions
Caution needed during pregnancy, lactation.
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth or other mucous membranes.
Recommend patient to use only very mild soaps or cleansing lotions without soap for facial washing.
Keep this medication in an airtight container, and keep away from children. Store it at room temperature.
