How it should be taken
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.
Dosage & When it is to be taken
Adult: PO Scurvy Prevention: 25-75 mg/day; treatment: ≥250 mg/day. Thalassaemia W/ desferrioxamine: 100-200 mg/day.

This medication is a vitamin, prescribed for scurvy. It is an essential nutrient for humans.
Category A :
Adequate and well-controlled human studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy (and there is no evidence of risk in later trimesters).
Warnings and Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, high iron level in the blood, anemia, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
Store it at room temperature and in an airtight container.
