How it should be taken  

It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider either via submucosal infiltration or nerve block.

Dosage & When it is to be taken

The recommended dose is 7 mg/kg (0.175 mL/kg).

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications) 

Hypersensitivity.

Why it is prescribed (Indications)  

This medication is a local dental anesthetic, used as an anesthesia for dental procedures. 

Pregnancy Category

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Warnings and Precautions  

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of low or high blood pressure, asthma, seizures, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
