How it should be taken
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.
Dosage & When it is to be taken
Adults and children 2 years of age and older.
IV - Initial dosage may be as little as 2.5 units/kg 3 times a week upto 60 units/kg as frequently as once a week or as infrequently as every 4 week.

This medication is an enzyme, prescribed for type I Gaucher disease, an inherited metabolic disorder.

Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
Warnings and Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of prostate cancer, any allergy, children especially less than 10 years old, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Monitor liver function, kidney function, and blood counts regularly while taking this medication.
Extreme caution needed in children less than 2 years of age.
Store it in refrigerator (2 - 8°C).
