How it should be taken
It comes as a tablet abacavir 600 mg (as sulfate)/lamivudine 300 mg) to take by mouth, with or without food.

This combination medication contains antiretroviral agents, prescribed for HIV-1 infection. It blocks and prevents HIV reproduction in the body.

Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
Warnings and Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney impairment, heart disease, diabetes or cholesterol, poor immunity, who are taking other medications, any allergy, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It doesn’t stop the spread of infections to others; avoid sexual contact during the treatment period.
Store it at controlled room temperature (25°C).
