Meperidine

Drug Name :  Meperidine


Indication :Meperidineis a synthetic nacrotic drug.


Physiology :Meperidine is a synthetic morpine like compound used in the management of moderate to severe pain and acts as an adjunct to anesthesia and preoperative sedation.


Normal Values :Negative


Test Method :Thin layer chromatography, High performance chromatography, Gas chromatography


Side effects :Adverse effects of meperidine are tachycardia, CNS and respiratory depression, nausea & vomiting, hypotension, miosis, physical and psychological dependence.
