The test is used for therapeutic monitoring and toxicity assessment of the drug Flecainide. Flecainide is an antiarrhythmic drug.

Normal Values :


0.2-0.8 µg/mL (0.4-2.0 µmol/L)

Critical Values :


>1 µg/mL (> 2 µmol/L)

Test Method :


High performance liquid chromotography(HPLC), fluorescence polarization immunoassay.

Side effects :


The most common side effects include dizziness, visual blurring, headache, fatigue, anxiety, gastrointestinal upset and nausea. Toxic effect include hypotension.
