Bromide

Drug Name :  Bromide


Indication :The test is used to detect bromide toxicity


Physiology :Bromism may be suspected in the presence of a history of ingestion of proprietary bromide preparations, fever, skin rash and neurologic symptoms.


Normal Values :<20 mg/L (<2.5 mmol/L)


Critical Values :> 120 mg /dL (>15 mmol/L)


Test Method :Reaction with bromide


Side effects :Side effects which may occur are fever, skin rash and neurologic symptoms.
