Drug Name :  Antibiotic Level in serum/ Antimicrobial assay


Indication :Antimicrobial assay is done to - Find the therapeutic dosage of the drug and to monitor potentially toxic levels. Toxicity testing is done to find toxicity of the drug following determinants of hematological, renal or hepatic function. Evaluate adequacy of serum antibiotic level and to detect the toxic levels of antibiotic.


Normal Values :Therapeutic range depends on agent being tested for and Minimum Inhibitory concentration of the drug against the organism.
