Clonazepam

Drug Name 

Clonazepam

Indication Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine derivative and used as a tranquilizer. The test monitors the drug level and toxicity.
Physiology Clonazepam is used as an aniconvulsant. It is useful in reducing tardive dyskinesia.
Normal Values 10-50 ng/mL (32-158 nmol/L)
Critical Values >100 ng/mL (>317 nmol/L)
Test Method Gas Liquid Chromatography (GLC), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC)
Interpretation Serum peak levels occur approximately 2 hours after oral administraion
