Dr. Anchal Gupta, Netram eye foundation is a trust based eye hospital, founded by Dr Anchal Gupta in the year 2011 with the initiative of providing quality eye care. It's an initiative by likeminded people who still believe that healthcare is the noblest cause.
Dr Anchal Gupta, MBBS MS Ophthalmology, is a young, energetic, experienced Ophthalmologist with a zeal for social work.
She joined her MBBS at G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur in year 2000 and did her Masters in Ophthalmology from the prestigious King George Medical University, Lucknow with academic accolades.

She has been a bright student right from the word go, with getting through all the state and national level competitions in first attempt. During her residency days she has worked a lot for corneal blindness, she had done cornea retrieval from youngest ever donor, an 18 months old girl, and was covered by various media channels for the same. Driven by her passion to cure reversible blindness she did her fellowship in Cornea from Venu Eye Institute and Research Centre, Delhi.
During her fellowship Dr Anchal had conducted many awareness campaigns for upbringing the social message for eye donation. In respect to her administrative skills during her fellowship itself she was made the Co-ordinator and incharge of the eye bank, and also editor in chief of in house journal. Her dedicated hard work always made her different from other fellow students.
Dr Anchal has done her registrarship from renowned Maulana Azad Medical College, with particular expertise in the field of cornea and medical retina. During her senior residency as well she has conducted cornea donation awareness lectures at various hospitals like Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Lok Nayak Hospital. She played a pivotal role in 2011 "Motiya Mukti Andolan" conducted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of NCT Delhi. She has received additional training in ophthalmology from the world renowned L.V. Prasad EyeCentre, Hyderabad. Adjunct to brilliant academic record and excellent organizational skills, Dr Anchal is an imminent and articulate surgeon with God blessed skills in both speed and accuracy asa surgeon.
Dr Anchal has established a state of art ophthalmology centre where she performs cataract surgeries and cornea transplants. She has established a trust "NETRAM EYE FOUNDATION" and is currently working on her own efforts without any aid. She is also associated with Mata Gujri charitable trust and Sai charitable trust, where she provides her service as a cataract surgeon for poor and needy patients, with surgeries being done at her centre by the latest Phacoemulsification technique at very affordable prices.
Dr Anchal also surgeon for the Al Bashar International Foundation, which is based in Gulf countries and is largely focused on in dealing with preventable blindness. She is also Cornea Consultant with Fortis Memorial and research Institute Max Healthcare. She is head ophthalmology department at Irene hospital, Kalkaji and Ariston hospital Chittaranjan park. She is visiting cornea surgeon at Kanika hospital, Kanpur catering all cornea transplants done at Kanpur.
Dr Anchal has won several awards namely Medgate india health award for work in community ophthalmology in the year 2012 and R K Healthcare Society award 2013.
Dr Anchal always prefers to choose the hardship to reach the real poor and needy. Belonging to the city of Varanasi and born to doctor parents righteousness runs in her blood. Soon she intends to start, with suitable aids,a mobile operation theatre which operates through a bus, so that best of surgeries can be done in the remotest of areas. Though that needs lots of funding and building a good team, nothing can stop a high spirited person from attaining what they foresee.
Her principle for practice is "Compassion is as important a the prescription". She strongy believes on Krishna's word in Bhagvad Gita "truth becomes what you believe in".
