International- Navelbine. This medication is an anti-cancer agent, prescribed for non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and Hodgkin's disease. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : IV- The usual initial dose is 30 mg/m2 administered weekly. How it should be taken : It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver disease, bone marrow suppression, nerve disorder, have received radiation therapy, who are taking other medications, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. * Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spread to others. * Avoid live vaccination during the treatment period. * Avoid exposure to sunlight. * Drink adequate fluid every 24 hours, and prevent dehydration. Side Effects : General - Weakness, injection site reactions, injection site pain, vein inflammation. Gastrointestinal - Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea. Miscellaneous - Difficulty in breathing, hair loss. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store the vials under refrigeration at 2° to °C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. |
