International- Viibryd. This medication is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, prescribed for major depressive disorder (MDD). When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : PO- The recommended dose is 40 mg once daily. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of low blood volume, low blood pressure, dehydration, low-salt diet, bipolar disorder, mental problems, suicidal thoughts, alcohol abuse, liver, kidney, bleeding problems, seizures, who are taking other medications, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. * It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. * Avoid alcohol consumption. * Patient may develop with increased risk of suicidal thoughts; watch them carefully. * It should not be used in children. * Patient may develop with increased risk neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), and serotonin syndrome with the following symptoms: depressed mood, anxiety, restlessness, irritability, panic attacks, fever, stiff muscles, confusion, abnormal thinking, fast or irregular heartbeat. If it is so consult with your doctor. Side Effects : Most Common - Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and sleeplessness. Gastrointestinal - Dry mouth, indigestion, flatulence, stomach flu. Central Nervous System - Dizziness, drowsiness, tingling, tremor, sleeplessness, abnormal dreams, libido decreased, restlessness, abnormal orgasm.. General - Fatigue, feeling jittery. Heart - Palpitations. Musculoskeletal - Connective tissue disorders, joint pain. Genitourinary - Delayed ejaculation, impotence. Metabolic - Increased appetite. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at controlled room temperature (15°C - 30°C). |
