International- Vision blue.
Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is a selective tissue-staining agent (vital stain), used as an aid in ophthalmic surgery.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Contraindicated when a non-hydrated (dry state), hydrophilic acrylic intraocular lens (IOL) is planned to be inserted into the eye.


When it is to be taken : 
It is packaged in a 2.25 mL syringe with blunt cannula (a slender tube).
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a solution for eye, to be applied onto the anterior lens by using blunt cannula.
Special Instruction : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects : 
Discoloration of high water content (hydrogen intraocular) lenses.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at (15-25°C). Protect from direct sunlight.
