Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is an antidepressant, prescribed for depression.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Contraindicated in children <15 yrs, during pregnancy and lactation.


When it is to be taken : 
Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 12.5 mg 3 times/day.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, on an empty stomach.
Special Instruction : 
* General anesthesia; tasks requiring mental alertness.
* Avoid abrupt withdrawal, dosage to be decreased gradually over 7-14 days.
Side Effects : 
Abdominal pain, fatigue, nausea, constipation, lack of appetite, insomnia, drowsiness, palpitations, muscular or joint pain, headache, vertigo, tremor, dry mouth and hepatitis (rare cases).
Other Precautions : 
*Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Oral: Store it at room temperature (30°C).
