This medication is an immunization vaccine, prescribed for tetanus (also known as lockjaw), which may cause a serious illness. It works by helping the body build up its immune system against tetanus.

What is the dosage of Tetanus Toxoid?

Adult: IM/SC- Primary immunization: 3 doses (0.5 mL each of tetanus toxoid adsorbed) via IM administration; give 2nd dose 4-8 weeks after 1st dose and 3rd dose 6-12 month after 2nd dose, Booster dose: 0.5 mL.
