International- Ceretec. This medication is a radiopharmaceutical preparation, used to identify altered regional cerebral perfusion in stroke, intra-abdominal infection and inflammatory bowel disease either alone or with methylene blue stabilization. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : For adjunctive localization of intra-abdominal infection or inflammation- The normal adult (70 kg) dose is 0.259-0.925 GBq (7-25 mCi) as Tc99m. Cerebral Scintigraphy IV- The recommended dose range is 370-740 MBq (10-20 mCi). How it should be taken : It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney or liver disease, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Rash, redness, facial swelling, and fever. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store the kit at 15°-25°C. Do not freeze. |
