Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is a pediculicide (a topical suspension), prescribed for head lice. It works by causing nervous system excitation in insects.
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Hypersensitivity.

Category B : Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
Topical- Apply over the scalp and hair gently as directed by your physician. After 10 minutes, completely rinse your hair.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a solution for topical use. It should be applied on dry hair.
Warnings and Precautions : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
* Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth and vagina.
* Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medication.
*Do not use it in newborns or infants younger than 6 months old.
Side Effects : 
Redness and irritation.
Other Precautions : 
*Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature (20°C to 25°C).
