International- Ringer’s injection. This medication is sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for fluid and electrolyte replenishment. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Dosage is dependent upon the age, weight and clinical condition of the patient. How it should be taken : It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein. Special Instruction : * Monitor changes in fluid balance, electrolyte concentrations, and acid-base balance regularly while taking this medication. * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of hyperkalemia, severe kidney failure, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Infection at the site of injection, venous thrombosis or phlebitis extending from the site of injection, extravasation, and hypervolemia. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature (25°C). |
