Trade Name(s): India- Encephabol Susp, Encephabol Tab. International- Pyritol, Encephabol. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a semi-natural water-soluble analog of vitamin B6, prescribed for mental disorders. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): None.
Dosage & When it is to be taken : Adult: PO- 600 mg/day in 3 divided doses. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet and suspension to take by mouth, with food. Warnings and Precautions : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of rheumatoid arthritis. Side Effects : Stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, taste disturbances, headache, sleeplessness, itching, rash and restlessness. *Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature. |
