Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This combination medication contains decongestant and antihistamine, prescribed for itchy, watery eyes, sneezing and runny or stuffy nose caused by hay fever, allergies and common cold.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Concurrent use or within 2 week of stopping MAOIs, severe high blood pressure and hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.


When it is to be taken : 
Adult: PO- Allergic rhinitis; Cold and flu symptoms: Per tab contains triprolidine HCl 2.5 mg and pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg: 1 tab 4-6 hourly, up to 4 times/day.
How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet and capsule to take by mouth, with or without food.
Special Instruction : 
* It may cause drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of high blood pressure, increased eye pressure, sugar, difficulty in urinating, thyroid or heart disease, intestinal blockage, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects : 
Dry mouth, nose and throat, skin rashes, fast heart rate, drowsiness, dizziness, sleep disturbances and urinary retention.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature.
