International- Lorelco. Note: This medication is withdrawn from US market. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a dyslipidaemic agent, prescribed for hypercholesterolaemias and hyperlipoproteinaemia.
When it is to be taken : Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 500 mg twice daily. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food. Special Instruction : *Caution should be exercised in patients with history of prolonged QT interval, heart diseases, decrease in potassium level, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Gastrointestinal- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, gas, indigestion, excessive or foul-smelling sweat. *Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature and away from moisture. |
