Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This combination medication is an anesthetic and steroidal drug, which contains Pramoxine and hydrocortisone. It is used for treating psoriasis and other skin conditions caused due to allergic reaction, insect bites and from minor burns. The combination drug decreases the action of the chemicals that cause pain, itching and inflammation. 
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 
Hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
Apply over the affected area 3 to 4 times daily.
How it should be taken : 
It is available in the form of cream, ointment and gel to apply topically.
Warnings and Precautions : 
* For external use only.
* Avoid contact with eyes, nose, ears and mouth. If the medication gets into these areas, rinse immediately with clean water.
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, eye problems, infections and liver disease; pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects : 
Skin- Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, inflammation of hair follicles, hypo pigmentation, abnormal hair growth over the body, pimples, eruptions, unusual weight gain, discoloration, inflammation, fungal infection of the skin, secondary infection and skin atrophy.
Body as whole - Headache, fever and sore throat.
Other Precautions : 
* Do not cover the affected area after applying this medication.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature (15-30 °C) away from light and moisture.
