India- Flovas Tab. International- Livalo. This medication is a statin, used to treat obesity, blockages in blood vessels by reducing the cholesterol level and triglyceride level in blood. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Adults: At first, 2 milligrams (mg) once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. However, the dose is usually not more than 4 mg a day. Children—Use and dose must be determined by your doctor. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet to take by mouth with or without food. Special Instruction : *Harmful to unborn baby, use effective form birth control with doctor’s guidance. *Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. *Check your progress in regular intervals. Side Effects : Miscellaneous- Headaches, stomach upset, abnormal liver function and muscle cramps. *Monitor lipid level after 4weeks therapy. Storage Conditions : Store it at 25°C. Store it in an airtight container and keep away from children. |
