This combination medication contains oral antidiabetics, prescribed for type 2 diabetes. It is not for treating type 1 diabetes.

When should Pioglitazone and Metformin not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma, severe kidney disease, bladder cancer and hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Pioglitazone and Metformin?

The recommended initial dose is 15 mg/500 mg or 15 mg/850 mg tablet once or twice daily
