This medication is a cholinergic agonist, prescribed for glaucoma. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Ophthalmic: As 0.5-4% solution – Instill 1 or 2 drops 4 times/day. How it should be taken : It comes as eye drops to instill into the affected eyes. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma, intestinal disease, ulcers, high blood pressure, heart disease, overactive thyroid gland, seizures, Parkinson's disease, urinary obstruction, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. * It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Side Effects : Blurred vision, stinging, burning, redness, itching, watering or swelling of the eye, redness of the eyelids and headache. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature. |
