Trade Name(s): International- Denavir. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a guanine analogue antiviral drug, prescribed for recurrent herpes labialis (cold sores). It prevents the herpes simplex virus from growing. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Hypersensitivity.
Dosage & When it is to be taken : Topical- Apply a thin film every 2 hours. How it should be taken : It comes as a cream to apply topically as directed by your physician.
