This medication is a skeletal muscle relaxant, prescribed for discomfort associated with acute painful musculoskeletal conditions. It works by helping to decrease the pain.When should Orphenadrine not be taken? (Contraindications)
Contraindicated in patients with increased eye pressure, intestinal obstruction and hypersensitivity.What is the dosage of Orphenadrine?
PO- 150mg daily in divided doses increased by 50mg every 2-3 days. Maintenance dose of 150-300mg daily.IV/IM- Adults - One 2 mL ampul (60 mg); may be repeated every 12 hours.
