Do not co-administer with aliskiren in patients with diabetes kidney problems. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity and pregnant women.What is the dosage of Moexipril Hydrochloride?
Adult: PO Initial: 7.5 mg once daily. Maintenance: 7.5-30 mg/day in 2 divided doses.How should Moexipril Hydrochloride be taken?
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.What are the warnings and precautions for Moexipril Hydrochloride?
• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of bone marrow problems, blood vessel problems, poor blood circulation, heart problems, kidney or liver impairment, diabetes, autoimmune disease, stroke, recent heart attack, kidney transplant, dehydration, low blood volume, abnormalities in blood minerals, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.• It may cause dizziness, light-headedness, or fainting, do not drive a car or operate machinery and sit up or stand slowly, while taking this medication.
• It may not work as well in black patients.
• Drink adequate fluid while taking this medication; otherwise it may lead to dehydration.
• Avoid exposure to sunlight.
• Avoid contact with people who have infections.
• Monitor kidney function, blood electrolyte levels, and blood pressure regularly while taking this medication.
