Why is Mizolastine Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a non-sedating antihistamine, prescribed for symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), hives and other allergic reactions. It blocks the effects of histamine, which helps to relieve these symptoms.

When should Mizolastine not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with significant heart or liver disease, electrolyte imbalance and QT prolongation.

What is the dosage of Mizolastine?

Adult: Oral- The recommended dose is 10 mg/day as a single tablet.
