This medication is an anti-cancer agent, prescribed for adrenal cortical cancer which is not treated with surgery. It slows growth or reduces the size of the tumor.What is the dosage of Mitotane?
Initially 2 to 6 g/day orally in divided doses, 3 or 4 times daily. Increase it up to 9 to 10 g/day. The maximum dose is 16 g/day.How should Mitotane be taken?
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth (orally). It is usually taken three to four times a day with or without food.What are the warnings and precautions for Mitotane?
