This medication is an immunomodulator, prescribed for osteosarcoma (a kind of bone cancer) along with other chemotherapy agents. It was designated as an ‘orphan medicine’ (a drug used for rare disease condition).When should Mifamurtide not be taken? (Contraindications)
It should not be co-administered with calcineurin inhibitors, high-dose non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity.What is the dosage of Mifamurtide?
The dose is based on patient’s height and weight. The recommended dose is 2 mg/m2 body surface area.How should Mifamurtide be taken?
